​Experience a week of quality time together, serving families living through childhood cancer.

Lighthouse Family Retreats are a memory-maker, and a transformational experience for the parents and children you'll get to serve and yourself.  Retreats are full of extravagant service... serving meals, leading fun children’s activities, setting up for theme nights, and creating environments where cancer families can get away to rest, restore relationships, experience joy, and find hope in God!

As a Family Partner you will be paired with a family living through childhood cancer to help serve them throughout the week with things like preparing and decorating retreat family housing, doing their laundry and dishes, playing games, and most of all, strengthening relationships that will last a lifetime.  You'll play a critical role in creating a retreat experience that provides joy and hope while strengthening families.   ​

SERVANTEE Team Info
Lighthouse has reserved 8 adult spots for our team.  You may serve as an individual, couple or a family.  Please let us know if you would like to bring your kids, as this is a great opportunity to serve as a family.

We'll plan to connect as a team leading up to the retreat so we can get to know one another better.  Plus we'll have several group gatherings during the retreat to encourage each other and share in what God's doing in our lives and the lives of the families we'll get to serve.

Saturday:  Travel & Arrival Day (Check-in 3pm or after), PDG Trip Team Dinner
Sunday:  Breakfast on own, GOLF @ Sea Island, Lunch on own, Official Check-in with LFR, Team Dinner & Meetings
Monday:  Breakfast, LFR Meeting, Retreat Family Condo Prep, Families Arrivals, Welcome Dinner + Family Intros
Tuesday:  Breakfast, Daily Activities w/ Retreat Families, Lunch, Free Time, Dinner & Group Meetings
Wednesday:  Breakfast, Daily Activities w/ Retreat Families, Lunch, Free Time, Dinner & Un-Birthday Party
Thursday:  Breakfast, Daily Activities w/ Retreat Families, Lunch, GOLF @ TBD, Free Time, Dinner
Friday:   Breakfast, Daily Activities w/ Retreat Families, Lunch, Free Time, Dinner & Night of Worship
Saturday:  Breakfast & Family Departures - Check out by 11am

Donation / Fundraising Minimum Requirements
Consider your retreat a 'domestic mission trip.'  As part of the SERVANTEE team, funding will cover your minimum Lighthouse Family Retreat volunteer costs and SERVANTEE team/program costs.  The amount below covers your minimum retreat donation, accommodations, LFR volunteer gift bag, meals on site and SERVANTEE team gift and 2 rounds of golf for the golfers, including 1 round at Sea Island Golf Club.

Adults: $2,500/Golfer or $2,000/Non-Golfer
Children: $500/Child
Adults = 18 yrs and older  |  Children = 17 yrs and younger

Additional Costs

• Travel costs to and from the retreat location
• Background Checks for Adult volunteers (Submitted through LFR Website)
• 2 meals per person - not provided by LFR

Above and Beyond Donation (Optional): 
On average, the minimums raised leave a $20,000 gap in the cost of each retreat. LFR knows that everyone’s fundraising/giving capacity is different. Therefore, if you are able, they invite you to help bridge this gap by setting a donation/funding goal above your minimum. This helps make it possible for LFR to continue serving all families living through childhood cancer on retreat at no cost to them. A suggested amount of $500 - $1000 per person above your minimum helps LFR bridge this gap.
