JOIN US ON A TRIP TO SERVE @ ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GEORGIA

​Experience a week of quality time together serving families living through childhood cancer on a Lighthouse Family Retreat. 

This impact trip will be a memory-maker, and a transformational experience for the parents and children you'll get to serve.  Retreats are full of extravagant service … serving meals, leading fun children’s activities, setting up for theme nights, and creating environments where cancer families can get away to rest, restore relationships, experience joy, and find hope in God!

As a Family Partner you will be paired with a family living through childhood cancer to help serve them throughout the week with things like preparing and decorating retreat family housing, doing their laundry and dishes, playing games, and most of all, strengthening relationships that will last a lifetime.  You'll play a critical role in creating a retreat experience that provides joy and hope while strengthening families.   ​

SERVANTEE Team Info
LFR is holding 12 adult spots for us.  If you wanted to serve as a couple or as a family, the option is there for your kids to serve too.  You can serve as an individual as well.

We'll plan to have a few team gatherings leading up to the retreat so we can get to know one another better. 

Schedule
Retreats officially start Sunday afternoon with volunteers arriving earlier in the day, checking in, attending some afternoon meetings and preparing the homes for the families who arrive on Monday.  You'll serve the same family all week and then everybody departs on Saturday morning.

Golf
There's a lot of awesome golf down on the island. So we're working to setup a round on Thursday mid morning as this is the one day where we get a break from serving.

Donation / Fundraising Minimum Requirements
Consider your retreat a 'domestic mission trip.'  As part of the SERVANTEE team, funding will cover your Lighthouse volunteer costs and SERVANTEE team/program costs.  This covers your accomodations, volunteer gifts, most meals and SERVANTEE team gift.

Adults: $2,000 per adult + Golf Fee (TBD)
Children: $500 per child

You'll also be responsible for 3-4 on your own meals throughout the week plus an optional $25 'favorite things' gifts for your family.  Your entire donation amount is tax deductible.
