Brett Gorney has been serving golfers all over the world for over 30 years. His first job in golf was in 1989 when Hiland Golf Club opened in his hometown of Queensbury, NY. After graduating from the PGA Professional Golf Management Program at New Mexico State University in 1995, Brett served as an Assistant Golf Professional at The Champions Club in Omaha, Nebraska and then at Janesville CC in Wisconsin. He shifted his focus to teaching golf and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1998 where he helped oversee the opening and operation of two GolfTEC indoor learning centers.
In 2000, Brett stepped into the international golf scene by accepting guest teaching pro contract at the Discovery Bay Golf Club in Hong Kong. This led to an opportunity to play professional golf where he returned to Atlanta and competed on the 2001 NGA/Hooters Tour and played in a few Asian PGA Tour events as well. Realizing that his game wasn't quite up to par for tour caliber golf, Brett turned his focus back to teaching and corporate golf events. He's also run the golf programs onboard the Star Princess Cruise Ship in the Caribbean during 2007, traveled down under for a teaching contract in Brisbane, Australia in 2011, and in 2013 he helped run the golf operations at Ellington Ridge CC in Connecticut. Brett returned to Atlanta in mid-2014 and started Mobile Golf Events in 2015. He also serves on the coaching team for Martin Chuck and the Tour Striker Golf Academy.
Brett's credits his faith, his family and close friends with helping encourage him to succeed in business and in life. In his free time he enjoys getting together with friends, serving in the community, playing golf, staying active and fit, cooking great meals and traveling the world. In 2014 he launched a platform called MISSION 5IVE.14 which organizes mission trips and events that inspire people to press into their God-given gifts and talents and use them to serve others. It was on his third mission trip to El Salvador in 2015 that God planted the idea for SERVANTEE in his head. Here's the story in his words...
"We'd been going on mission trips to support and serve the Love & Hope Children's Home every fall. At the end of each trip we'd rent a beach house for a couple of days and take time to relax, reflect on the trip and enjoy the sun and surf. In 2015 we were on our way to the airport when we passed a new golf course under construction and immediately this thought popped into my head...
"What if I could organize some trips and bring some golfers where we could travel down to El Salvador, SERVE the children's home, AND then we could TEE it up at this course instead of going to the beach?"
And voila! That is how the idea for SERVANTEE was born!

THE SERVANTEE STORY
This is a story of one man's gifts, talents and passions colliding with a burning desire to answer these two questions:
1. What breaks your heart and what can you do about it?
2. If you could do anything you wanted for work, what would that be?
Brett Gorney knew what were his unique gifts: Hospitality, Shepherding and Encouragement. He was a talented golfer and had built a career around the game as a PGA Professional. He developed a passion for worldly travel, preferred collecting life experiences over stuff and loved helping and serving others. But after a few years of feeling like he was simply 'surviving versus thriving" in life, he thought long and hard about that proverbial question... then God birthed something new in his heart.
This new thing was a desire and a vision to create a way to inspire golfers to live, serve and lead with greater intention and purpose.
golfers where they would use their own gifts, talents and resources to help others in need and also get to play golf at the best courses in that area. So essentially they would go SERVE others and TEE it up! Voila! ServanTee! The brand was born!
But there had to be something more... something unique and different about these trips. Something that would allow people to experience golf in a way they had never done before.
In 2014, Brett launched MISSION 5IVE.14 - a platform to "Inspire people to Awake, Arise, and Shine a Light in the World." Through this platform Brett began leading mission trip teams to El Salvador to serve the needs of Love & Hope Children's Home, Love & Hope Youth Ministry and their community
